‘Lets get Dangerous” Neverova<3 Original Sketch

Hey guys… looks who back… ME!!! took a leave of absence, but I am back and I have some new sketches, paintings, sculptures and doodles for you guys that will be uploaded more frequently. Hope u enjoy. I will start off with my “Im bored in class doodle”. its called Oh Well… done on loose-leaf paper and blue pen. I draw what I feel and what I want to express and here is a little story about the doodle.  A boy brought this girl flowers and chocolates on v-day, but she isn’t sweets or flowers.  The boy gets mad and throws everything in the garbage and storms off, while the girl is just left standing there wondering what happened. Just because i’m a girl does not mean that i like flowers and chocolates all the time.  Just because i’m a girl and I let a person know what I like and don’t like does not mean I’m not appreciative.  Just because your a boy and bring flowers and chocolates to a girl does not mean shit is okay and life is grand.  I don’t need your candy, because I can buy my own.  I don’t need your flowers because I can go to the park and pick them myself.  The things I need cannot be bought at a store… please try and remember that boys… GIRL POWER!!

Lee Jeffries is an accountant from Manchester by profession but for the past few years he’s traveled around the world photographing people he encounters on the streets, particularly the homeless.

He spends time getting to know each of his subjects before shooting them, which is evident in his work. The breath taking portraits seem to suggest details of each individuals life, taking a hard unflinching look at their personal condition.

Jeffries was just announced as the 2011 Digital Camera Photographer of the Year and you can read more about him at the Independent.

((The most amazing aspects of these photo portraits are the focus on the individual and how he is able to evoke personality and character of the individuals.  His in you face style sheds light on these vagrants who society has decided to cast out of their daily lives.  I want to be able to create a drawn portrait that embodies the style of this photographer.))

This is the Cheshire Cat: Munchies.  This cat is sneaky, and evil and playful all at the same time.  He is also kind of a jerk but he is loved regardless as a character.  Here he is laying by a tree after he smokes some trees and had a snack.  He is waiting for his other snack to come out.  He is high and he wants to eat.  This piece is 8” tall in all.
